At Woody, our commitment to sustainability goes beyond words. We've joined forces with Earthly, an initiative that resonates with our values. For each oven purchased, we plant 10 trees, and every bag of fuel leads to another tree planted. Over the past year, we've proudly contributed to planting 20,000 trees in Madagascar and Brazil, playing a crucial role in reforestation efforts.
Earthly's motto, "Invest in nature. Remove carbon. Restore nature. Improve livelihoods." aligns seamlessly with our business goals. Currently, our support is channelled into two impactful projects:
Madagascar, Mangrove Planting Project
This trail-blazing project run by Eden Reforestation Projects has reforestation and poverty alleviation at its heart. Mangroves pack some punch when it comes to carbon sequestration but also provide a whole load of other natural benefits such as storm surge protection and vital habitat for many species.
- To date, they have planted over 334 million trees across 8 countries.
- They have created 3.3 million days of work for local communities.
- By 2025 they aim to plant 500 million trees each year.
Madagascar has experienced deforestation on an enormous scale with only 10% of its original forest remaining today. Did you know that approximately 75% of species found in Madagascar are not found anywhere else in the world? This means it is even more important to protect what is left and help to reforest areas that have been destroyed.

In our warehouse, sustainability is paramount. Our packaging choices are thoughtfully sourced, adhering to environmental standards. The fuels that you will see available on our website are derived from recycled waste, following stringent accreditation and FSC certification.
